For our angel in heaven

Written 11/9/12 (exactly one year after miscarriage)

A year ago we said goodbye.
We never got to see you,
Or hold you in our arms.
God must have had a reason
He needed you with Him.
We love you more than you will ever know
Our precious little one.
Your grandma is holding you for us
Until we get there too.

More Poetry

What would you be like?

I was struck by inspiration while doing some school work (which happened to be a unit on poetry).

The flower arrangement from our wedding in memory of Bertha.

What would you be like?

Written by Julie L. Moritz on March 16, 2010

For my mother-in-law I never met, Bertha Mary Elizabeth Moritz

(March 25, 1940 – August 27, 1996)

I never got to meet you,

So I wonder,

What would you be like?

I’ve been told about you, Mom.

That you’d love me

And that I’d love you.

But still I wonder,

What would you be like?

I’ve seen some pictures

And have met your family

I also love and married your oldest son.

I know you seen our wedding

From heaven above

And with my family that is there, too.

But still, what would you be like?
